Therapeutic Yoga for Health and Aging
Therapeutic yoga is a type of yoga that emphasizes yoga postures that are structurally sequenced and repetitive.
Therapeutic Yoga for Health and Aging is a class designed to teach the principles of posture, balance, strength, and flexibility for healthy aging. When these two are combined with other yoga tools, such as breathing, meditation, and movement, it allows for a delightful union of the breath and the body which leads to a wiser way of being in the world.
This is an 8-week class designed to introduce you to the benefits of yoga and to help you incorporate changes in your life, which will provide permanent benefits.
Therapeutic I is a class designed for those new to therapeutic yoga. This is a slower-paced class that encourages safe movement and helps to address physical issues such as the back, knee and hip.
Therapeutic II is a faster-paced class designed for those who are more familiar with the movements of therapeutic yoga, having learned how to move the body and manage the difficulties of their physical issues.
“Claudia has been my yoga therapist for three years, and because of her guidance and therapy, my scoliosis and alignment have improved dramatically. Her attention to every detail and issue with my body from feet to ankles, back, neck, shoulders and knees are examples of her great expertise.
