Yoga Nidra is a guided meditation in which the body sleeps but the mind remains awake achieving a state somewhere between sleep and wakefulness.
What happens in a Yoga Nidra session?
The first step is to get comfortable in a relaxed position – think Shavasana with props and blankets to get comfy and stay warm.
Then you will be guided through the parts of Yoga Nidra, including deep body relaxation, clarifying intention, working with the breath and a guided visualization.
The Benefits of Yoga Nidra:
- Alleviates insomnia
- Decreases anxiety and stress
- Reduces PTSD, chronic pain and chemical dependence
- Induces deep body-mind relaxation
- Fosters feelings of peace, calm and clarity
